Bus system - 5 buses serve the surrounding communities of Carstairs, Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, Bowden and Cremona.

Ministry Opportunities - monthly trips to the Mustard Seed in Calgary, etc.  Missions trip to Mexico every two years.

Educational Philosophy - The educational philosophy of OKCS is based upon a God-centered view of man and truth as presented in the Bible. The goal of education is to enable students to know God, encourage them to love Him and equip them to serve Him.

High School Electives - Music, Drama, Foods & Fashion, Information Processing, Math 31, Tourism, Spanish, Design Studies, Art, Job Safety Skills, Outdoor Education, Psychology, Photography, RAP and Work Experience...

Facilities - over 50,000 square feet of space including an Elementary wing, a High School wing and Kindergarten building on a 14 acre campus. The gymnasium, library and main office is located in the new part of the building.  We also have a Learning Centre available for both Elementary and Jr. High.

Memberships - OKCS is a Christian school under the Chinook's Edge School Division.  We hold membership in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Academic Standards - 60% pass for Grades 1-9, report cards 3 times per year.

 

-50% pass for Grades 10-12, report cards 4  times per year.

                                  

-Bible class is compulsory for all students. Credits are offered for Bible classes in high school.

 

-Music is required up to Grade 6 and is offered as an elective from Grade 9 on.

 

-Scripture memorization program includes all students.
