Mexico Mission 2009

The Mexico Team has arrived back home and what a blessing it was to serve the Lord once again in Hermosillo, MX.  The Mission Team arrived in Hermosillo on March 27, 2009 and had the wonderful opportunity to work with Greg & Shelli Neufeld (Greg is an alumnus of OKCS) for nine exciting days!

It would take too long to possibly describe the week of ministry, but simply stated lives were changed for eternity both in Mexico and on the team.  One of the most exciting stories to tell surrounds the women's ministry.  This was a ministry held each morning in a fairly impoverished area of Hermosillo.  God was at work and by the end of the week we had almost 40 women attending.  It was amazing as our team did crafts and shared the love of Jesus with these women.  Twenty-six ladies accepted the Lord as their personal Saviour!  God is very much at work in the lives of these families. As a result the mission will be looking to start a Church in the area.

As most teams ministered to the women and children throughout the day, the work team was busy putting in a sewer system and an addition on to Alberto's house in an impoverished area of Hermosillo.  As far as we know his would be the only home with running water and sewer system in the area.  Alberto and his family are not Christians - yet, but we continue to pray for their salvation.

The team would like to thank those of you who supported us in prayer as well as through financial giving.   Please continue to pray for Greg & Shelli and their ministry in Hermosillo.

The purpose of Olds Koinonia Christian School is to assist the Christian family, in cooperation with the local church, in training their children intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually toward maturity and responsible independence

There is no neutral ground in educating children. All schools are based on a particular philosophy of life that promotes particular values. Whose values do you want your children to learn?
