Jason Schuler

Vice Principal, Flexible Learning Program
After a decade of teaching and administration experience in Rocky View Schools and Airdrie Christian Academy, God led Jason to apply to an OKCS posting earlier this year. Jason has been the Director of Alternative Programs and Principal at Airdrie Christian Academy for the past few years where he operated and managed several hybrid education sites. During the interviews, and subsequent conversations, Chinook's Edge and the OKCS Society board saw the valuable knowledge and experience that Jason could bring to this new and growing flexible learning programming at OKCS and Chinooks’ Edge. As a result, CESD moved forward with the creation of an additional leadership role. Throughout the process both the OKCS administration and Jason felt God’s leading and provision. His commitment to Christ, work ethic, honesty, integrity and good sense of humour are evident.
Jason, his wife Jocelyn, and their three young boys reside in Crossfield. They love to spend time outside biking, hiking, camping and all things sports related. They love to travel and enjoy board games, bonfires and reading in their free time. Jason & Jocelyn are actively involved in their Airdrie church family.
One of Jason’s favourite Bible verses is Romans 12:2, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (NKJV).
It is the transforming power of the Spirit that excites Jason about working at OKCS as we partner with families to guide children and young people not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the gospel.
