Sandra Anderson

Grade 1
My name is Myrnelle Sandra Anderson. I am a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and deeply committed to building meaningful relationships with children.
My teaching journey began in Jamaica, where I taught for nineteen years before the Lord led my family and me to Montreal. Since 2016, I have taught various grade levels there, including working in closed classrooms with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In 2024, following God's leading once again, we relocated to Calgary. I had the privilege of teaching Grade 2 in the Christian Program with Rocky View Schools for one year.
I have been joyfully married to my husband, Joel, for 28 years. We are blessed with three sons—Joel (Junior), Roshaun, and Jaden—and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Shernelle. Joel is a pastor and is currently pursuing full-time studies in counselling. Our family now lives in Olds.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy collecting and caring for indoor plants. watching investigative shows, traveling, taking nature walks, and cooking—especially porridge, soups, and trying out new recipes with my family.
One of the scriptures that keeps me anchored in times of uncertainty is Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
